Get answers to common questions about Half Back.
Most clients need 6–8 sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart, depending on hair thickness and growth cycles. Darker, coarser hair responds faster; maintenance sessions may be needed annually. A consultation determines a personalized treatment plan.
Our clinic uses adjustable laser settings and multiple wavelengths to treat a wide range of skin tones and hair colors. Very light, fine hair may respond less effectively; a patch test and consultation will clarify expected results.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least two weeks before treatment, and stop waxing or plucking four to six weeks prior. Shave the area 24 hours before your appointment unless instructed otherwise.
A Half Back session typically lasts 15 to 30 minutes depending on whether it's the upper or lower half and hair density. Allow extra time for consultation, numbing if requested, and pre-treatment skin preparation.
Temporary redness, mild swelling, or follicle sensitivity are common and resolve within a few days. Rare risks include blistering or pigment changes; following aftercare instructions and sun avoidance reduces complications.
Shaving between sessions is recommended to keep the area smooth while preserving hair follicles for laser targeting. Avoid waxing, plucking, and hair removal creams, as they remove follicles and reduce treatment effectiveness.
